Microsoft yesterday released the December 2018 release for Office for Mac customers. Leading the way across all of the applications is the introductions of a Dark Mode. With the latest feature update rolled out to macOS in September, Apple introduced a system-wide Dark Mode for Mac users. This latest update brings Office for Mac up to version 16.20.0 (Build 18120801). MacOS Mojave release includes a system-wide Dark theme at Apple | System Preferences | General | Appearance. Compatible programs will switch to darker menus etc. We send it out every night around 9 PM Eastern Time (USA). Microsoft recently released Dark mode option for the Microsoft Office suite, along with dark grey and colorful themes. Originally Office 365 for Mac did not change with Dark Mode but now it does.
